01. Why should I visit the Špancirfest?
Špancirfest is a festival of the city. It is a whirlpool of music, dance and laughter, endless walk whose goal is the mere walking, meeting the forgotten, and people completely devoted to their city while the city is completely devoted to them. During Špancirfest, to welcome you, there will be 160 top programmes, 100 performers from around the world, presentations of old crafts, world music, street performances, comedies, children’s shows, ethno, rock and classical music, 5 stages, streets and squares of Varaždin old city core... Every year, the Špancirfest is again and again the beginning of a discovery, always a unique experience. Which story the city is about to tell us is unknown, and so is the rhythm of lights, sounds and scents. It seems there is nothing else left but to be in Varaždin and become a part of the Špancirfest.

The Programme Booklet is available at the information centre of the
Varaždin Tourist Association Office, souvenir shop on King Tomislav
Square and in «Tisak».
05. Where to apply if I want to perform on the Špancirfest?
All participants wiling to perform on the Špancirfest are invited to
contact the Varaždin Tourist Association until 1 June of the current
year.
06. Traditional crafts?
Traditional crafts are an integral part of the Špancirfest. On the
festival area old crafts will be exhibited daily, including the
blacksmith, the potter, the weaver, the notary. You will meet artists,
wood carvers, potters, different collectors, and will be able to buy
traditional cakes, home made and foreign food, and original Varaždin
and Croatian souvenirs.
07. Where do I apply if I want to be the exhibitor?
Every year in May there is an open public invitation published in
Varaždinske vijesti, Večernji list and on the web sites of the
Špancirfest, addressed to everyone who would like to take part as an
exhibitor. The right of selection is reserved to the organizer.
08. Catering?
In May there isa tender for catering published in Varaždinske vijesti
and on the web sites ofthe Špancirfest open to everyoneinterested. The
right of selection is reserved to the organizer.
09. What will the weather be like during the festival ?

10. What happens with the performances if the weather is bad?
If it rains the street performances are delayed until weather
conditions improve. In case theweather is really bad the modifications
of programmes will be announced at our info desks and in media.
