Nicolas Bras – 17 Instruments Concert

Founded in 2010 by Nicolas Bras, the Musiques de Nulle Part project explores the sounds and musical possibilities of raw materials, leftovers, recycled materials, in order to produce instruments with a harmonic or noisy sound, soft or shrill, but always surprising. Crafted instruments are inspired by traditional instruments from all musical cultures, any acoustic principle used to produce sound, or the shape of an object picked up on the pavement. These instruments are out of nowhere diversions, hybridizations, adaptations to materials, playing techniques or musician’s wishes, the only limitation: that it sounds!
