Rumbaristas

This Belgian-Spanish-French-Italian quartet is called „Rumbaristas“. The colorful band around Catalan drummer Willy Fuego (Amparanoia, La Kinky Beat,…), French-Sicilian trumpeter-keyboardist Thomas Morzewski and the rhythm section of bassist Tomas De Smet and drummer Roel Poriau (whom we also know from Think of One and Laïs) is presented as very interesting world music band with roots and influences from southern and central European music. They profile themselves as a multilingual quartet, versatile and innovative. Following the release of their acclaimed debut album in early 2019, Rumbaristas embarked on a tour. The group was invited to important world music festivals such as Ritmo Festival (Budapest, Hungary), Mercat de Musica Viva (Vic, Spain), Etnofest (Subotica, Serbia) or Ariano Folk (Italy) and soon received excellent reviews within the European world music scene.
